Petra Zikmann – Physiotherapist
Petra qualified in 1992 with BSc Physiotherapy from UOFS.
Worked in Port Elizabeth in general private practice which included:
- Sports injuries
- Occupational injuries
- Orthopeadics
- Chest Physio
She then relocated to Gauteng in 2009 and has been involved in human and equine practices.
“I have worked with a large variety of injuries during the length of my career so far. They have varied from lots of very painful and stiff necks and backs to muscle tears and ligament injuries. I have travelled with sports teams and have had to think on my feet a lot of times!
The greatest reward for me as a physiotherapist has been to be able to help a patient recover from an injury or episode of muscular problems and see them return to sport or their daily activities. I have met wonderful people from all backgrounds and cultures and it gives me endless satisfaction to be able to do the profession that I am in.”
